Visit the Oregon Brewer’s Guild to guide your beer odyssey throughout the state.

The Hawthorne neighborhood, known for its fun and funky feel, is the IDEAL place to stay and explore - a "walker's paradise.” We have 9 nearby TriMet bus routes (including the 14-Hawthorne, 15-Belmont, and 75-Cesar Chavez right outside the door) and are 5 minutes by car ride or 10 minutes by bus to downtown! We’re also close to the Belmont, Division and Clinton neighborhoods each with their own character.

Landmarks in the area are Powell's Books Annex, the Hawthorne Bridge (the oldest vertical lift bridge in operation in the U.S), and the Bagdad Theater & Pub, a Portland relic owned and restored to its original glory by the McMenamin Bros. The Bagdad offers pub fare as well as craft beers and second-run movies at reasonable prices. Other popular nearby beer destinations include Belmont Station and Biercafe (phenomenal selection of over 1,200 bottles and 16 rotating taps), Horse Brass Pub (world-famous pub high atop every beer pilgrim’s bucket list), the Hawthorne Hophouse (native northwest taproom featuring 24 craft beer taps), The Lucky Labrador Brew Pub (produces hand-crafted ales and even allows patrons to bring their dogs to enjoy the fun on the back patio) and The Bridgeport Ale House (recently renovated and known for their oven-fired pizza). There's no shortage of good eats or drinks - again, we are more than happy to help you find what you are looking for!

We’re seconds from Fred Meyer's, the ultimate grocery/all-purpose store where you can find anything you need, New Seasons (like a local Whole Foods), and Pastaworks, a European style market with incredible gourmet offerings. Finally, we are walking distance from Laurelhurst Park and Mt. Tabor park, which is a great walk/hike/run with trails and awesome Portland views.

We encourage you to explore the area and have a collection of local travel books for you to use and enjoy while you visit. Additionally, there is a wall map (coming soon) with local breweries for your drinking pleasure!

Please check availability and further info on VRBO.
We hope you enjoy your stay with us - we love sharing stories about beer and traveling with our guests who generally end up leaving as our friends!
Cheers!
